Even the K24, the roughest four cylinder Honda I've ever driven, is a model of refinement next to any of the three Subarus we've owned.

I doubt any additive is going to help. The 4.0 OHV is notorious for poor lubrication of the rocker arms and push rod tips. Once they are noisy, replacing the worn part is really the only cure. I would also check your oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, the dash gauge is a glorified idiot...

Cold weather starting will be fine. My neighbors 2011 Jetta TDI starts just fine sitting outside in -15F weather. He never plugs the car in. Its too bad GM won't put the excellent VM Motori diesel the Cruze gets in Europe. We get a new GM Korea (nee Daewoo) diesel engine. Time will tell on how...
I used the PSL14610 on my Accord and was very impressed. Heavy, well made filter. My only complaint is that Advance Auto stopped carrying them due to no sales. They also stopped carrying the Bosch Distance Plus too. I also used the same filter (PSL) on my FZ6.
Recently a friend started working...

I think Caterham is correct. Any Honda made in Japan has 0w-10 as FF, all USA...

Since when? How many OPE engines are there that run no filter and detergent oil in use every day? This notion that running detergent...
I am currently running the TGMO 0w-20. I have not noticed a difference over the Honda Semi-syn 0w-20. The 2013 is a DI engine, so I would use an oil that will hold up to some fuel dilution.

I've read a little on the Mazda 0w-20, it sounds like good oil. However, I'm also interested in...

The Pontiac Vibe comes with the same engine as the Matrix/Corolla. From the factory starting in 2005 (maybe 2004, can't remember) Vibes shipped with DexCool. We have a 2003...
I changed the FF on my 2011 at 50% on the MM or about 5500 miles. It was also down about a quart at that time. My first few changes were with the Honda Semi-syn 0w-20 CoP oil, which I ran to 30% on the MM (6500-9000 miles, no more oil consumption either). The MM seems to shorten the interval...
