    Crazy Belt Stuff

2007-up truck? I did the same thing with my 02 Silverado since the GenIII and GenIV engine accessories are the same and it would be nice to have the superseded version on an older truck. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubb...lli#Post4016070

    Copper vs Nickle Anti-Seize?

A lot of the O2 sensors come with a packet or is pre-applied with copper antiseize. Copper is definitely the correct app for exhaust fasteners.

GM LS engine 3rd revision valve cover install

This is GM's third attempt to mitigate the oil consumption issues plaguing LS1 engines and 1999-2013 LS engine trucks. For some reason the engine eats oil through the PCV setup and people who run catch cans catch a significant amount of oil. For millions of engines that don't it pools up in the...

GenIV LS water pump into a GenIII LS engine

No real benefit but for me this pump was cheaper on amazon. OEM pump came with gaskets and thermostat already then buying the updated style where you need to buy the updated thermostat and housing. Tool is for removing the hose clamps since some of the clamps are in a tight location since I...

GenIV LS water pump into a GenIII LS engine

As part of my 02 Silverado experimentation one of them was to see if a GenIV LS water pump will fit a GenIII LS engine. And Yes It Did. Detailed water pump DIY by ls1mike since I didn't take pics for a pic tutorial. Water Pump Swap Old Pump: Leak from weep hole. All that black stuff doesn't...

    This should on EVERY filter.

Don't AT's have a higher operating pressure than engines? I can see how higher pressure can put more pressure on a dented part causing it to burst open. AT cooler hose is rated at 400 PSI. I'm not sure how Allison AT's fluid routes through the filter though.

Does anyone lube their door hinges...

I picked up some of that Ultra Lube multi-purpose spray lube and it works well with my gm truck hinges. It's supposedly a bio-based product and has a neutral smell vs solvent based lubes.
