    Walmart thick bacon, about $4.36/#, I check it to make sure it has meat on the lower part, and it tastes just fine for my family. I only buy the thick. One piece, cut in half, is my usual breakfast with 2 eggs.

    Thanks for your reply, my error, loaded weight is about 12,000# with 3 horses at about 1000# each and about 1000# of clothes, etc, I will weigh it next time it is loaded which will be in 2 weeks. Three year interval was recommended by a trailer dealer when we originally started pulling gooseneck...

    I have a 25' gooseneck horse trailer, most recent of many, and I have usually kept my tires 3-4 years before replacing. Now on my second set of Goodyear Endurance E rated and I'm very impressed. What is "your" recommendations for how long I should keep these on my trailer that gets about 8-9000...

    Cereal: which ones do you eat?

    Steel cut oats, 1/3 cup, covered in milk, sit in fridge 24 hours, and eat in am cold with frozen blueberries or other frozen fruit. Several years doing this, never hungry before lunch. Works for me. I do like eggs and meat, but usually eat that for supper.

    Used to be only corn on the cob, cleaned and husked and wrapped in a wet paper towel and put in the microwave a few minutes, usually bought at roadside stands here in Iowa. Now we buy it, cut it off the cob, and cook it in a skillet with bacon and chopped green onions, best way so far for us...

    Canned fish?

    Season Brand sardines in olive oil, large portions, priced reasonably, and no bones or skin. Just discovered them at Costco and like them alot. I don't use crackers, etc, just straight from the tin.
