    Yeah I wish I had thought about that but oh well. I assume if I keep using the oil it would eventually clean up the carbon and unstick the rings maybe?

    Yeah I thought the 200 was high. It seemed to be a cheap gauge though as it broke soon after. Fuel mileage is fair. Usually between 20 and 25 mpg. Been closer to 20 for a while though. No engine light or anything

    That’s what I figured. I thought there was a lot of gunk it was removing based on how quickly the oil got dirty. Thank you

    Hello all. I used Valvoline Restore and Protect in my 2007 ford ranger 2.3 a while back. I noticed it started burning a good bit of oil when I did this. It went from under half a quart every 3K miles to two quarts in 2K. I changed the oil soon after and it was very very dark. I am now 200 miles...
