    Service Pro e2500 ADBV problem

I believe on the Traverses and Acadias. I know at some point they switched the filter from being underneath the exhaust manifold to being underneath, and they changed the filter slightly to handle more pressure

    Service Pro e2500 ADBV problem

I know for a fact it wasn't like that when new, as I had worked on it last and am very thorough at inspecting filters before installing them. This is a common issue on the Gm 3.6, I've personally seen it more than 10-15 different times

    Service Pro e2500 ADBV problem

@ZeeOSix i did not cut it open, too busy today and didn't get a chance. I did cut one open about a year ago, and it had a coil spring, although we have gotten some new batches in that look slightly different. If I remember I'll cut one open this weekend for fun when the bossman is gone and post pics

    Service Pro e2500 ADBV problem

Hello everyone. Pulled this filter off of a gm 3.6 earlier today, I believe it was a 2020? Chevy traverse. These filters are PGI made, although I've pulled numerous car quest filters off of vehicles that take this style. I've only ever seen this on the gm 3.6 and one 3.5 ecoboost f150.

    2013 Ford f150, 5.0L. Royal purple 0w40 and a bottle of ceratec

Would be my best guess. I ran leak detection dye for about 2 weeks, didn't see a drop anywhere. Put in a new thermostat and flushed the system, added motorcraft coolant. Have to add a quart or two every couple of months. I'm gonna get the transmission fluid analyzed next to see if there's an...

    2013 Ford f150, 5.0L. Royal purple 0w40 and a bottle of ceratec

Here's my first oil analysis, ceratec was added because I heard it quieted the infamous 5.0 "BBQ tick". Was only drained so quickly because I have a mysterious coolant leak that I cannot find, and I wanted to see if there was any coolant in the oil.

Do you miss the days of Everything PTFE / Teflon? Any positive snake oil experiences?

This is an oil additive the quick lube I work at wants us to shove down everyone's throats 🤣🤣

Pentius PLXL 7317 Initial Impressions vs Microgard Select

Just wanted to say, I work for a service pro sponsored quick lube, and the filters are junk. Quite a few of the smaller ones (I think e4622 and e4476) I've pulled off cars and shook the filter and the media was shaking around like it was either too small or the glue failed. Also had a massive...
