OK, Canadian Tire doesn't list the Quaker State or Mobil 1 5W50 in their computer so they can't order it. My options now are Mobil 1 from the dealership at $11.86 a litre or Castrol Syntec at Canadian Tire for $10 a litre.
My car takes 8 litres of oil.
What would you guys do?
Well, finally made it to CT and the only oil they have in 5W50 is Castrol Edge Syntec. You guys think I'd be ok with this? No Quaker State and no Mobil 1 in the weight I need. Who would've thought it'd be so hard just finding oil?

If CT doesn't stock it, ask if they can bring it in.
Dude for real? Haha that's awesome. How is it in deep snow...

I only managed to get to Walmart today. Couldn't find any there. Will check CT tomorrow unless Snowmageddon 2 turns out to be bad. My GT is my daily driver and 255/40R19 winter tires don't do much good when...
Well, I called up my local Ford parts dept to ask how much Motorcraft 5W50 was...they can't even get it! They use Mobil 1 for all their GT500/Boss/Track Pack oil changes! So I asked the guy if I'd be ok using Mobil 1 and he said as long as I have receipts and I use a MC oil filter I'm good to go.

Who woulda thunk? I could just go to the store and read the bottle! LOL I'll run...
Man, why does Ford make it so hard? I've never even thought of having to meet some weird manufacturer's spec. I've just run the weight specified in a good oil. So it looks like I'm stuck using Motorcraft? I should probably get that Castrol out of there quick!

Actually manufacture recommends 10,000 miles so 6,000 would be early already. I wouldn't say heavy track usage. Probably once a month at...

Thanks! It puts a smile on my face every time I hit the gas I couldn't be happier with...
I'll be sticking with the 5W50 until my warranty is done. With the track pack option, you get an oil cooler and larger rad from the Boss. You also get an oil temp gauge with the 2013s so I'll be able to monitor on track.
I guess my biggest question is will Mobil 1 or Castrol Edge Titanium be...
I have a Mustang with the track pack that calls for 5W50. I will be doing as many track days (road course) as possible this year. On my other vehicles, I've always run Mobil 1. After Castrol Edge came out (gold bottle) I'd switch back and forth depending on whatever was on sale.
The car...
