    Also, why are people using oil meant for diesel engines (like TDT 5w-40) in gas powered generators? Is this ok? Better somehow? Thank you!

    Haven’t gotten oil filter out yet just realized a week ago that needed to clean it and where it is (oops). Mine is in an enclosure with a fan so when I run it it is posting the fan. Is this enough load to keep it functioning during the hour long monthly runs?

    Thanks! It does have an oil filter! Does it matter that the manual doesn’t actually list 5W-40 as acceptable, only 5W-30, 10W-30, or 10W-40? Thanks!!!

    I have a Westinghouse WGen11500Tfc generator running exclusively on natural gas in hot humid Gulf Coast TX area. No true break in but run for one hour or so each month for past year. Using Honda small engine SAE10-W30 and change after each run (so after an hour) but heard synthetic is better...
