    Reasonable cost for PPF?

Good Lord why are you so triggered? OP asked for opinions on cost - the guy gave one, and you come unglued and start serial ****-posting. Settle down, Francis.

0w20 VW oil observation......2019 GLI - oil temp

My '19 Golf R, in which the factory says to run VW504/507 0W-30 oil, had been running on Castrol Euro 0W-40 since its first oil change at 5k, was switched to the "proper" VW stuff today for its 2nd change. I was watching oil temps just before changing to compare them to after. Virtually...

EA888 how many go by the 10k mile factory recommended OCI...

I'm gonna do 5k oil & filter changes with Castrol Euro 0W-40 in my '19 Golf R, despite the new recommendation for 0W-30 504.00. I'm just not comfortable stretching to 10k on a relatively tiny motor with a big blower and making so much power (292 hp).

    Possibly bogus MANN/VW OEM filter?

The only one I have to compare it to is an older OEM filter that came in a completely different box, looks completely different, and is made in Mexico, which is known to be normal for *some* of the filters that VW OEM's. As for possibly being a euro-only part, based on the box markings, that...

    Possibly bogus MANN/VW OEM filter?

On their way back. More red flags than my last relationship. It's ridiculous how poorly Amazon vets their outside vendors. So much sketchy stuff being sold there.

    Possibly bogus MANN/VW OEM filter?

I just received a 4-pack of VW OEM filters via Amazon for a great price.. here is the item: https://amzn.to/2Qc2zk3 The VW part number is 06L115562. However on the filters themselves, they are labeled 06L115466, which is an older revision of the same filter. Seems odd, no? The packaging...

    Mazda/Castrol 0W-20 - 2017 Mazda3 2.5L

Thanks for all the helpful replies. Might wind up going 5W-30 as it gets REALLY hot here - typically around 25-30 days of 110+, and can go 100 days of 100+ in a typical summer. Love the car so far, though not many miles on it yet. It has new-for-'17 bi-LED headlights, and they're incredible -...

    Mazda/Castrol 0W-20 - 2017 Mazda3 2.5L

We just bought a new 2017 Mazda3, Grand Touring spec, 2.5L w/6-speed manual, to replace our '15 Golf TDI which is going through the buyback process. Mazda recommends either Mazda Genuine (Castrol) 0W-20 oil, or Castrol's branded offering of the same weight. I'm in Phoenix where summer temps...

LiquiMoly Race Tech GT1 10W-60 in BMW S54B32

Thanks for all the replies. I suspect the only reason BMW doesn't endorse more than one oil is simply about money. They can probably wring more out of one company as an "exclusive" than by endorsing several. Or maybe it's all about testing, who knows. Josh's reply about the rod bearing issue is...

LiquiMoly Race Tech GT1 10W-60 in BMW S54B32

What the general opinion on this? Castrol is no longer BMW's "official" oil, though TWS is still available directly from Castrol.. but is very expensive. I've read of many E39 M5 owners using LM 10W-60 and being happy with it. It's readily available from Amazon at a much better price than TWS...
