Those are somewhat problematic as some of the reviewers state and for the reasons they state. I have several oil filter wrenches I've used the last several decades and that particular one I avoid, however it does have it's uses.
According to Scotty Kilmer on Youtube there is nobody who actually checks to see if the additives claimed in Top Tier gasolines are actually there or in what quantities if they are. All of the different gas stations get their gas from the same place. It's only what's added that differentiates...
I'm surprised a quality mechanic as you say would be stumped. Did he run tests? Is there a cloud of blue smoke? If a mechanic worked on my car and then it started burning a quart every 50 miles I'd want an explanation.
Just like anything on a car I am sure some cars are easier than others and some are time consuming. I don't know what a shop would charge but if you only have a dipstick it is a non issue, it will never be a problem.
So I take it these electronic sensors are 100% reliable forever. That is comforting that they can be as reliable as a dipstick because I wouldn't want to have one of those sensors replaced especially on a 4 wheel drive vehicle where the front differential may have to be removed to get the oil...
I'm not that knowledgeable. I'd appreciate if someone would give a scientific explanation of how MMO could do what the OP claims please. No opinions please, just facts. Thanks
There's a thread around here showing that the collapse of Rhino Ramps has happened. I think someone stated that company was sued out of business due to the ramps collapsing. I have an older set without all of the large gaps and they work fine. I did put a 2x4 in the front of each one vertically...
You can do that with even the least expensive Harbor Freight torque wrenches also. I had to do it with my 1/2" low dollar one. I brought it in and told the guy the problem. He immediately walked over and grabbed a brand new one for me. Took only a couple of minutes and I was on my way home. If...
If I'm going through the trouble to jack it up even for brakes I'm going to put jack stands under it. I also put the jack up just to the point where there is a tiny bit of pressure so if the jack stands fail the jack will keep the truck up. It's just not that time consuming or much trouble.
I have 3 from Harbor Freight and they work fine. Be sure to follow the instructions to keep them in shape. I've seen Youtube videos where the lower end Harbor Freight torque wrenches were tested and they were off a bit more than they claimed. They aren't off enough to worry about anything. One...
I don't know your car however I do know that clutch disc material can lose it's ability to grab when it gets hot especially if the surface becomes glazed. Brakes will also fade if they get too hot. On a race track it's something you notice a lot even with beefy brakes. My experience is with...
My 2005 Explorer has a mild steering wheel vibration from about 20 to 23 m.p.h. I replaced both upper control arms with new ball joints, lower ball joints and tie rod ends. I've had the tires balanced and wheel bearings are fine. It's still there. I'm guessing cv axle or a U joint. It didn't...
I can't imagine how anyone could graduate high school with out knowing fractions. Fractions are taught in grammar school. It would make life harder not knowing fractions as they are used all the time in numerous ways. Schools and teachers that let students graduate high school that don't even...
