Yeah it doesn't look good. I wonder if my mechanic put 5W30 instead of 5W40? The Golf 2.5 can take 5W40 or 5W30.

No work done. I believe it was caused by the previous pump I used to extract the oil before switching to the one BL sells.

What about Castrol Edge and Pennzoil Euro? I know Canadian Tire has them on sale sometimes too.

I'm really disappointed. This oil change was not cheap either ($125 CAD). My previous garage used Liqui Moly Leichtlauf 5W40. I'm thinking of going back to that oil.

I think I will buy the extractor that Blackstone Labs sells for my next sample. I had never heard of this engine oil either. It's the oil my garage uses. A small company in L'Isle-Verte, Quebec makes it. I'm not a pro but the results don't look too bad to me.

Nope. Do you think the high silicon might be because I used a cheap Amazon fluid extractor to get the sample?
