The 1MZ-FE is one of the best engine Toyota has ever made and that RX platform is pretty comfortable, quiet and practical, so, given a good maintenance record, it may be worth investing in a timing belt job. It is also very much possible to tackle it yourself - not a complicated job at all...

T6 is a good oil, but, pushing that much torque through stock internals, on that engine, is opening a whole new chapter for it and it won't be a very long one... That said, moving up a grade (RedLine 5W50) and monitoring oil and coolant temps along with a good tune that does NOT unleash full 550...

Just like T101, I am from Bulgaria, but I've lived in the US for over 15 years now and I can say, for sure, that there is more counterfeit products in the US, than any other place in the EU. That said, there are great oils (RedLine, Amsoil, Ravenol, Castrol) here that can go for 10000mi easy...

I also have a 04 Toyota 4runner V6 which requires 87 octane and I have experimented using 91 octane which turned out to produce noticably better power and smoother idle even here, in Reno NV, at elevation above 4000ft. So... Each engine is different.

I run the Castrol European formula 0W40 in my 2004 4runner (same engine as your FJ) and the oem Toyota filter 90915-YZZD3. I found that using other than the OEM filter causes the chain rattle on start up. Mine has 250000 miles.
