SOPUS says a four year shelf life on their oil. My mere opinion is that it's much longer than that when stored properly.

Nope. Some jugs from SOPUS don’t have them, apparently. I got two jugs of M1 last summer that had a ruptured foil seal.

The Pentius PLXL10060s I’ve been using are great. They are South Korean. A few months ago, some Chinese Pentius showed up with poorly machined center tubes. They had small metal disks hanging from a few of the holes where they weren’t properly/completely punched out. I don’t have time to chase...

The only thing that would be on my mind was mentioned above by Zee0Six……condensation/rust. If that was an issue, it should be obvious.

COF2222 is $48/10. The stenciling/sticker looks like Chinese PGI standard duty to me. It would be $38.40 for 10, shipped, with the discount. I’m tempted to pull the trigger, but I keep thinking about those Chinese Pentius with the hanging chads.

I had guessed this recommendation was abandoned because moving up in grade won’t cure poor metallurgy or bearing design. Their initial stopgap, though, was moving up in weight…..for better protection. It was very telling advice.
