Advantage for using "premium extended filters" when not doing extended OCI's?

To drop the efficiency in an Oil filter you most set a lower By-pass valve, Lower quality media that tears or bad sealing on end caps. Even with that differential pressure the filter should have good efficiency. Nowdays media papers are Enhanced celullose that withstand 8 psi before before first...

    Napa ProSelct oil filter question.

Yes that was my point. Cheaper filters=Lower oil change intervals. Media is not able to whitstand 15K miles. These filter media often has less grammage and lower Mullen values.

Advantage for using "premium extended filters" when not doing extended OCI's?

As crazy as it sounds, filters work better while getting dirty. Efficiency when new is lower than when is used for 1K, 2K, 3K etc. From my perspective you are wasting money with a filter that is only used 40% of their life time.

    Oil filter shortage

I must say you should consider Silicon ADBV, By pass higher pressure and 15 to 20 micron rates for the good efficiency. The media Pleat should not be an issue as long as you keep changing the Oil every six months. ACDelco are made by Champion Lab as far as I know. Hope this can help.

    Napa ProSelct oil filter question.

Proselect as far as I know are made for low oil change intervals and less efficiency also only for mineral Oils. I would not recomend this filter in a dusty area or high mileage cars or Siynthetic Oil. Mighty Engine Guard filters have better performance Overall and not way expensive.

Used NAPA pro select new Napa gold.

Hi, New in the blog. I am from Mexico. I work for Gonher that is one of the greatest Filter MAnufacturer here in the country. I must say your used filter can hold way more dirty before the differential pressure becomes and issue. That kind of nonwoven media material is good for Efficiency and...
