Anyone getting Honda 15400-RTA-003 filters at the dealer instead of the PLM-A02?

Hey guys, With the FRAM/First Brands bankruptcy and the Greenville plant shutting down, the domestic Honda 15400-PLM-A02 supply chain is obviously a mess. Lately, I've noticed online dealer catalogs listing the 15400-RTA-003 (Mahle/Tokyo Roki) as a direct interchangeable replacement for the...

    Straight grade oil users

I used to run SAE 30 SJ/CD oil in my first Gen Honda CRV for couple OCIs. The engine ran pretty smooth without any issue. The engine otherwise saw full synthetic 5w-40 in most of its life. I sold the car at 360,000 km and it’s still running strong at that time.

New Pennzoil full synthetic "Black Label"

Yeah..no clearance. Rang up full price at the counter. The staff must have placed those new bottles in the old cleared Pennzoil conventional spots. The manager's like "this ain't cheap stuff no way we are selling it for $2". Well, I guess I will eventually see it go for $2 sooner or later...

New Pennzoil full synthetic "Black Label"

Went to my local AutoZone to dump used oil and found a new pennzoil product I never seen before. The label is very similar to PUP but in pure black. 5w-20 and 5w30 on the shelf. What intrigued me is that it is already on clearance price for $2/quart despite it's on the newest api SP rating. Has...

    New car....conventional oil?

I just put 4.5 quarts of Quaker state 5w-20 conventional last week in my new 2020 corolla 2.0 SE. Factory fill 0w-16 after 4000 miles of highway driving still looks nice and clear. I feel no change in acceleration and fuel economy switching to 5w20 from 0w16. I use the oil simply because it's...

Recently purchased a 2020 4 door corolla SE 6-speed and I have exact same feeling as OP does. It's embarrassing and annoying when driving in slow and heavy traffic and you need to down-shift to 1st gear! I've also test-driven a Jetta manual and it shifts way better.
