Get a belt that's the exact same Size as the one you have installed. I used a gates belt kit with new tensioner and idler, didn't last three months. It was about a quarter Inch shorter than oem. I installed a new dealer belt after the gates failed.... It fit like a glove and no issues. ( bando)

This more or less happened with me also. I even called gates to try and get warranty or some kind of help and they didn't care. Gates insisted I had the correct belt. According to Their computer! I sent them photos and explained I replaced all parts as a kit. I highly recommend avoiding...

Gates is definitely junk now. I recommend users to avoid their products, if there are other options available. Not to mention the service department at gates is terrible also nowadays. It's unfortunate, gates was a reputable oem supplier once upon a time. Times have changed.

Don't buy gates products if you have other options. Gates is terrible now. Junk.

That's a hard one without seeing the parts. If older gates quality it could be ok. Gates parts and service have been TERRIBLE of late. They used to be a reputable brand. They are basically Dorman now. Junk.
