Positive experience with Mobil 1 Extended Performance. What makes it so smooth.

LSJr I think has engrained the term oil shearing into people’s minds and very seldom does he mention that it’s 9.9 out of 10 times due to fuel dilution. I see it so much on other forums, facebook groups, and in Youtube comments.

Crankcase Breather for newer cars pushing high horsepower?

This on particular is a one way breather to let pressure out not in. I see no point in it but was curious to what the benefits would be… which seams few and far between lol.

Crankcase Breather for newer cars pushing high horsepower?

More so speaking on something pictured below. Not a PCV breather, I have a catch can on my truck which replaced the OEM PCV and I will say I have caught a lot of gunk over the last 16k miles.

Crankcase Breather for newer cars pushing high horsepower?

Looking through search here on BITOG and could not find any *newer* information on this topic regarding newer cars pushing high horsepower/high boost so wanted to make a post. Could anyone school me on the purpose of these crankcase breather that replace the oil fill cap? Seen a claim that...

2025 Ram 1500 I6 Hurricane SO; HPL PCMO 10w-30 8.5k mi - used oil analysis

42 idle hours in this GA summer heat to let the truck cool down for the kiddo is most likely contributed to this.

2025 Ram 1500 I6 Hurricane SO; HPL PCMO 10w-30 8.5k mi - used oil analysis

Thanks! Yes, I am super pleased with this first run. Over this 8.5k oxidation is up +7 over VOA? Where do you draw the line regarding oxidation to tell the oil is spent? I remember @Hohn posted somewhere his personal preference is around +13 over VOA. Does Nitration play a role in oil being...

Numbers look fine compared to my first OCI at 1500. Unsure on the potassium note tho..smarter members may have some insight there. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/2025-ram-1500-hurricane-sst-7-3k-kirkland-0w-20-3-9k-mi-used-oil-analysis.406620/ Numbers should drop drastically. I...

    New Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

Yup. I left the filter on and have another round of AC in. After I run another 6k in my wife’s car I will check the filter again (9k total in service miles with Mobil 1 Advanced Clean). Again, will prove nothing but I still think it will be a cleaner filter than Valvoline Restore and Protect...

Long Term Oil Testing With Lake Speed, Jr aka "The Motor Oil Geek"

I wouldn't count out the vast amount of knowledge in BITOG. If you go through the trouble to do all of the testing you say and post it here, the people will surely view it and be appreciative of it, and others will just say it's a waste. Its your time/money do with it as you please;) (y)
