I would make it a point to switch drive modes when first getting into the car.
I also think that the oil system is still circulating while in EV. I don't know for sure, and this could be vehicle-specific, but my wife's car, I do hear some sort of pump running.

We speculate that the proprietary ingredient that is in the oil is in this cleaner. Check out the first few pages of this thread you will see some emails from them.
I bought 3 FRAM Titanium filters yesterday for $4.xx each. Cartridge type for the ecoboost - all looked good, definitely variability between pleat widths, but with the mesh backing it will be okay. For sure will not run to 20K per what they are rated.
That is what I would assume? Surely an early oil change wouldn't let a manufacturer deny any lube-related claims unless you seriously messed up in the process...
Maybe David is speaking on dropping factory fill and going with an HPL Break in oil since that seemed to be the topic of discussion...
