Is there a snake oil that'll really remove carbon?

BG44K. I have heard it works real well. It should because it's expensive. I, personly have used it a few time and never noticed a big difference but my car has never had a pinging problem and it's always been squeaky clean inside due to the use of top quality gas all it's life and top quality...

    HDEO For AMC 258

Rotella T6 5-40 and forget about it. Just don't change it too soon. Run it for 5000 miles or so as long as you're engine is in good shape. It works great in my old relic and it will in yours too. You can run it year round and not worry about anything even if you take a run up to Canada or...

    VIrgin Autopsy- Fram XG2 Ultra

I have a question maybe someone can answer. I read in a couple earlier posts that the relief valve on a couple of different filters is set at 16psi or 12psi for the Ultra. How does a filter like that work when the oil pressure runs at a constant 30-40 psi hot or cold? Or are the various filters...

    Amsoil - Worth it?

I don't use Amsoil because it would be ridiculous for the car I own. I will say this though. When I had my engine rebuilt 15 years ago I ran Castol in it for the break in and then changed over to Amsoil 20-50 mainly because I worked for an Amsoil distributor at the time. I had to turn my idle...

    What's in your grease gun???

Used Mobil 1 for 10 years. Will use the rest on u-joints. The other gun has green grease in it. For whatever reason the green grease is what works for me and that's what I used the last time I greased my front end and installed new wheel bearings. I'll use the green grease from here on out...

New EPA coal regs = $180 billion

I'm not going to comment too much since I have been banned from this section of the forum twice for pointing out the truth. I haven't been to this section of the forum in a long, long time and I find it hard to believe there are those that STILL believe there is an oil shortage and worse yet...

Rotella T6 VS Brad Penn 15w-40

I'm no fan of BP but I have to say that Rotella T6 has been the best oil I've found in 15 years. I do, however, drive a '73 Cadillac so this really doesn't concern anyone driving the newer stuff be it diesel or gas. Rotella has had a sterling reputation as an engine oil for decades.
