A Tesla Cybertruck tried to beat the Rubicon trail now has been stuck for days

That was a poorly contrived hoax.

Sounds like the average in over their head owner of any wannabe off roader not prepared no matter the vehicle.

Who cares... Like you said, many fail. Why is this different?

    Model y serviceability by owner?

That may be the case, but the last car I had in a body shop was a 2018 GTI and it took two months to complete for back ordered parts. It's not just Tesla.

Big Ford EV Announcement Coming Aug 11th

While my garage is a bit closer than 50ft yet still detached, there's quite the scale difference between a 3,000mAh-5,000mAh phone battery and a 82kWh battery in something like a Model Y. At any given time I have 164kWh worth of battery in my garage. Is it likely that I will have a fire from...

Added a second ID.4 to the stable.

Well this is helpful. Why do some of you just have to crap on someone's happy post? It's unnecessary. Congrats on the new wheels! I went EV only 9 months ago and it has been a massive savings as much as we drive.

I hadn't thought of doing that. I'm in 2-3 different hotels a week. It always drives me nuts being in a hotel where the A/C doesn't have a constant fan setting. Helps mask outside noise since I usually am sleeping during the day and makes the compressor kicking on less abrupt sounding.

Chinese EV Thoughts? Curious on more technical info

I haven't dug into this, but are they actually banned? I thought no one had tried to get them through the process to get them federalized for the US and I'm sure the tariffs make it counter intuitive at this time.

100%. If the rates were lower at night for me I'd charge then every time. I work on call so that doesn't always fit my needs, but you better believe I'd take the cheapest fuel I can get when it's available.

I think it's growing at the necessary rate for EV adoption. At least for now it's just people who want EVs buying EVs. Freedom of choice, right? I haven't had a problem with public charging either and I can only think of one time I've had to wait for a charger which was around 5 minutes after...

That's pretty common when you get close to Superchargers. There's not much reason to use them locally unless you don't have home charging. There's a really popular Supercharger in the Wisconsin Dells that's you always see a lot of Teslas coming and going. I know I'd see even more Teslas here...

Oh you mean everyone needs an EV for infrastructure to be there. That's not what you said.

My wife just took a 1000 mile trip Thursday in a Tesla, but you're right we don't have the infrastructure for EVs. 😂

It's not really driving. That's the problem. It's not good enough to drive itself everywhere, so that means the driver is responsible for monitoring it. The best solution is just not use these systems and drive it yourself because you'll deal with the consequences of the accident anyway.

I think I see more Yukon Denalis than Escalades here anyway. Maybe I'm wrong in my assessment of the Escalade, but if it was me buying I'd rather have the Yukon Denali. I see a lot of high trim Tahoes with big factory wheels too. I could be wrong because of the way they stand out to me, but I...
