Is yours 4x4? I have heard stories of anywhere from 16-22 mpg. I run name brand gas and drive pretty easy most of the time, so hopefully that first tank was a mathematical error.

ARB1977 Do you think the Amsoil Severe Gear contributes to that gas mileage? I have only had mine for a 1.5 weeks but have only gotten 16.5 mpg when I figured the first tank. I did hurt mine a little when I put AT Tires on it and went up a size.

I hope this one will go as long as yours have. I can't get use to the mpg of this 4.0 though, I had a Tacoma 2.7 4x4 until last week and it got a lot better mileage even with a lift and running on mt's. Hopefully when do change to synthetic it will improve the mpg a little.

I just purchased a 14 Tacoma 4.0 with 25000 miles. My question is since it has a conventional oil recommended of 5w30. I am wanting to change to synthetic oil, would M1 0W30 be a good choice? Or should I stick with a synthetic 5W30? The truck has just been serviced at the dealer(Honda Dealer)...
