    New Motorcycle White Paper

Though I havent used Amsoil yet, Im sure its an excellent oil. But in this white paper some reputedly good MC syn oils are absent (Motorex, Agip, Elf, for ex), and others are absent in some charts, and appear in others. Otherwise Im sure the results published are not doctored, theyre real.

    I'm using Mobil1 10W-40 M/C oil in my bike...

IIRC Mobil 1 20W-50 didn't do great on the 4-ball wear test, and the 10W-40 on the foaming.

    Old Oil in Garaged Bike--Dump?

Thanks for the feedback! Will do as suggested. One more non-lube thing I was wondering about: gas has been sitting in the tank for months in one bike, and more than a year in the other bike. Sta-bil in both tanks. Still, I don t want to run the bike with old gas. Some folks have told me to...

    Old Oil in Garaged Bike--Dump?

One of my bikes has been sitting since December. Oil in it is Mobil 1 10-40 (bike oil), and it's only got about 1,500 miles on it. Should I dump it and replace, or is it okay to run? Also another question: if a bike has been sitting with used oil for a long time, would it be better not to run...

    Motorcycle shaft drive spline grease?

See above post for Krytox grease. Very expensive but apparently worth (I used it on my Guzzi's splines but haven't checked the results yet). Also the common recommendation is to use a grease with 60% moly (Honda has one). Check this useful info: http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Shaft.html#Grease
