    I couldn't tell you exactly why they are higher, Blackstone believed it to be part of their additive package. Spedestrian's UOA post above seems to indicate it is indeed part of their additive package. I've read that they try and keep Ca lower to help prevent LSPI.

    How long have you been running 0W40 for? Any quieter than the 0 or 5W20? This is my last analysis for comparison. Also using 6600 0W20. I was using LiquiMoly Special Tec LR 5W20 previously.

    I've heard that it can mess with VVT system, can you point me somewhere that discusses this further?

    20 definitely feels light for the application, but I'm afraid to got up to a 30 or 40. Potential tight clearances along with screwing with the VVT and any other oil pressure controlled components is a real possibility.

    I am trying to decide between LiquiMoly Top Tec 6600 0W-20 and Valvoline European Vehicle Full Synthetic 0W-20 for my Jaguar F-Type R. I need an oil that meets STJLR.03.5006 and both of these do. I've used the Liqui Moly the past 3 oil changes and my Blackstone Analysis hasn't shown anything...
