I have a Chev. Impala, 3.4 engine with 120K miles. When I start it up I get a lot of noises, but after a couple of minutes you can't hear it run if you close the hood. Still gets 25 mpg on a road trip. I want to change the oil and am thinking about Pennzoil HM, but I don't think it is a blended...

This Pure 1 came off my 02 Impala, 4.3 v6, 4000 miles on the filter and oil, Havoline syn oil. It looked to be in very good shape to me. The ADBV is torn, but the media had no holes in it, looked to be OK.

Does anyone know what the long version of the Fram PH3387A would be, or the AC PF47? I want to try the longer one b/c the short one is hard to get to if you are a DIY like I am. thanks

I forgot to mention this, the filter was on the car for one year, give or take a couple of weeks. He does a lot of short run driving, lives close to his work, and doesn't go out of town much.

This was taken off my son's 2000 Focus zx3. Oil was M1, I don't know the mileage, but he doesn't drive a lot, so I'd say around 7K.

I have an 02 Impala with 3.4 engine. It requires 4.3 qts and the person put in 5 qts. If it is over filled, shouldn't I get splash and low enough oil pressure to make the light come on? Or, if I drive it and pull the stick, shouldn't I see air bubbles on the oil stick? As of yet, I have not seen...

When I bought the first stock, it it was for the 02 impala. The Oreilly trip was to get some for the 13 GMC Sierra, which calls for dexos. Thta is why I noticed the ProDS didn't have dexos on it.

I was buying it for a 13 GMC sierra, the visit to advance was for the impala. I am not concerned with dexos for the impala (2002).

Yes, I believe the Oreillys was labeled pro DS.
