I received my filters today and Amazon sent me the cheaper PLB7317 instead of the PLXL7317... now I have to hassle with returning them. They offered me a $12 "partial refund" to keep 'em. No thanks. Buyer beware if ordering from Amazon.
I've run older filters before (10 years old, approx.) without issue. As long as it's stored properly indoors, there's no rust and the ADBV is still pliable, I see no issues. I probably wouldn't run one that's 20 years old, though. I feel like the ADBV would probably be getting brittle by that point.

I'm glad I kept it, too. It's just not worth selling with the low price I had it for sale for, I figured I might as well keep it since everything works still and it still runs and drives. I'd be silly to just basically give it away.
Changed my oil early this time because I was itching to try R&P to see if it curbs my 1 quart/1000 mile consumption that has been plaguing my car for years.

That's an incredible amount of lobe wear. Mine were pretty worn when I had the valve cover off at 666k miles, but not that bad. Some batches of K24 cams had issues with the hardness of the lobes. I had the valves adjusted on mine even with the lobe wear, and hope to run it as long as I can. It...

I thought about it, but I'd rather just replace the engine if I were going to do more to it. It has stuck rings and burns a lot of oil, and would essentially need an entire rebuild. I'll keep it going for now since it still runs fine.
Surprisingly, everything still works except the seat heaters. The leather is actually in quite good shape, and only recently started to tear on the left side bolster. No state inspections here. It's just my winter beater, but I hope to keep it going for as long as possible regardless. It's more...
I spoked to my regular service advisor who also serviced the car since it was new, and he mentioned that the previous owner had the valves adjusted on it regularly. It's not really in the service schedule. For these engines, Honda just says to adjust them if/when noisy.
