Yeah, that makes sense, and honestly that’s part of why I made the thread. Not because I assume a better sound means better protection, but because the change in sound was noticeable enough that it made me want to figure out what was behind it.

Maybe, but I only use Shell 91, so the fuel has been pretty consistent. That’s why I’ve been leaning more toward the oil itself being what’s changing the sound.
