    As best I figure at least one lifter is hanging a valve open slightly, sometimes. Fresh oil or a short drive or long/hot enough on old oil and it goes back to rock steady 19" or so vacuum at idle no flutter.

    15w50 might be a bit thick for tight bearing clearances and a HV pump. Don't have my notes in front of me but I think .001"-.0015" on mains and rods.
