Gas buddy become a useless app ?

Gas Buddy used to have a very nice website where one could price by area and fuel brand. Now, it is useless. It is a mere listing of about 10 prices. The app isn't terrible, but not as useful as the old format on the website was.

Pick me out a new Laptop!

Just got the machine yesterday. The machine itself is clean. Not a mark on it. Only way that I can recognize that it is a refurb is a sticker on the bottom that says "Refurbished by Dell Financial Services." That, and a sticker on the bottom of the power pack that has some very visible wear...

    New Rider - Thoughts

I'd probably take a different approach. I'd look for a low hour version of something like this: https://www.machinerypete.com/details/lawn-mowers/2009/john-deere/x300/21829762 Frame more robust, Kawasaki is a really nice engine. Trans is a K46. Not really an issue as long as it is used within...

Chase Raises Sapphire Reserve Price to $795 Annually, Up $245

AARP discounts are a joke. We used an AARP discount when we just bought new phones last month. Discount provided free activations on our phones, and provided us with a monthly AARP discount. Got the ATT bill. Phone bill went up $60./month. Went in to express my extreme displeasure with the...

Outdoor electrical box with snapped screws.

This. In the long run, less time consuming, much easier, and you get fresh gaskets out of the deal.

Anyone still use Mobil Super 5k?

Our BJs doesn't stock it anymore. Wish they would start again, because I wouldn't mind getting a case for the tractor.

Can GM key fob be unprogrammed from vehicle?

Or at least, had it clearly written into the sales contract. I had something similar happen years ago while buying a new truck. The dealer provided an additional piece of paperwork with my name on it that was clearly printed on it "We owe you." It listed the item in question and was signed off...

Pick me out a new Laptop!

Hope to copy your experience. I forgot to mention that I purchased an "A." I paid the small extra premium to buy a refurb from the manufacturer hoping that the fact that they have dibs on the "Pick of the litter" and that they may value their reputation would pay off in regards to getting a good...

Pick me out a new Laptop!

I'm up around Canton every month or two. Maybe I can get up there and find my way over there. I'm used to a 14". I'm flexible in regard to the deal. If a good deal came across on a larger screen, I'd consider it. I'd even consider the right Dell, even though I've become very partial to the...

Pick me out a new Laptop!

Thanks for the legwork, Rand. Microcenter is not an issue for me. I live about 25 minutes North of Columbus. I never really gave them a second thought because when I bought this machine, they were almost 2x the price of what I paid for this one. Did some more searching on line last night, found...

Pick me out a new Laptop!

My T430 has a SSD. I installed one in it. For what I do, it really doesn't need to be much better. All I do with it is net surf, and some occasional word processing. My machine in its current form does everything I need and then some. The largest issue is that it is not W11 compatible, and the...

Pick me out a new Laptop!

I am presently typing this on the refurbished Lenovo T430 Thinkpad with a Core i5 processor that I had assistance from the group selecting back in 2017. It has been a good eight years with it and it has reached the point that it is showing its age. It needs hinges, keyboard is wonky at times...
