    Eneos 75W-90 GL5 synthetic?

Company has not responded to my inquiries. US website nor the bottle indicate the makeup. EU website and some US retailers say it is synthetic and the Amazon.com description say GTL mineral based oil. It has a high VI so I am guessing it is synthetic and I'll use it no matter the base oil.

first oil change in Subaru Legacy?

Thanks for the responses. I'll go the 6 months (3750 mi) before changing. Reading this site just made me want to ask.

first oil change in Subaru Legacy?

We purchased a new 2013 legacy (manufactured 12-12) with 300 miles on the odometer. Most of those miles were added when the car was driven from a dealer 200 miles away. Since the oil is 10 months in service, should I change it now or wait until the 3750 mile change? That will be another 6 months...

Anyone using Nitto Motivo or Toyo Proxes 4 yet?

I installed the Motivos (215/45-17) on our Elantra Touring to replace the Kumho KH16. After about 400 miles I can say they are quieter, better riding (not so hard) and handle in the dry better. No rain or snow usage yet. I received a very good deal from our local Big O tire shop.

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Car placard recommends 32 psi. I put in 32 psi in P-metric tire (factory KH16). Euro-metric tire (Motivo) needs 34 psi to have the same load capability as a P-metric tire at 32 psi.

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

I was looking for a "softer" ride than the Kumhos. I know 45 series tires will ride harder than higher profiles. I purchased Nitto Motivos and they do ride "not as hard" as the KH16s. Much quieter and handle as well also. Don't know about rain handling yet.

Am I nuts for wanting new tires after only 14k?

I have the same problem with a 2011 Elantra Tour. Kumho KH16 ride rough and are dangerous in light snow or slush. It is the worst handling tires I have had on a FWD car. I only have 6,000 miles and am looking for a change before winter.

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Rand's description of the KH 16 is my experience on an Elantra Tour. Primacy MXM4 are expensive but I may look at them more closely. Eagle F1 Asymmetric A/S are a possibility but the dealer here in Columbia, MO doesn't have any in stock to examine and no availability for 2-3 weeks. Nitto Motivo...

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Thanks again. I won't change wheel size. Just looking for a "softer" riding 17" tire.

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Thanks for the replies. Hyundai factory 16" rims are hard to find locally. Conti DWS are an option but I read so many internet stories of bulging sidewalls and poor quality control from Continental.

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

I realize 45 series tires are not good riding. What I meant by frozen precipitation was snow and the resulting slush, not ice. Those Michelins are an option, but expensive. Not sure if the 205/50-17 would have an effect on my warranty (car is 2011).

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Car is Hyundai Elantra Tour. O.E. tire is P215/45-17 Kumho KH16. Ride is hard and traction in frozen precipitation is very poor. Any ideas on a tire that will improve the hard ride? I do not need to travel in snowy weather. Thanks.

2011 Hyundai Touring: Valvoline and "Semi-Syn"

I have the same car. Manual says 5W20 or 5W-30, SM, GF4 oil. Filler cap say 5W-20. No mention of semi-or synthetic oil. They do recommend Quaker State by name.

    best a/s tire for 3 seasons-no snow

Thank you for all the replies. I will buy the Envigor because the local Nissan dealer has a buy 3 tires, get the 4th for a dollar and I agree it fits my needs. The Nokian was a choice, but I don't like the local dealer.

    best a/s tire for 3 seasons-no snow

That's what was OEM on the car and I do not want to use a lower speed rating. I would buy the Primacy MXV4 but it is not made in the correct size.
