    I have found Kroil to be the superior off the shelf penetrating oil over the last 30 years or so. Somebody did a thorough test and the only thing that beat is was a homebrew made with ATF and acetone.

    The wholesale house we buy from no longer carries the Leichtlauf HT, only the Synthoil Premium. According to the label, LM rates the LHT higher in several areas including fuel economy and friction and wear reduction. I decided to stick with the LHT and got a 5l jug on Amazon for $38.90...

    I have had good luck with StarTron, and I think that in time the overdosed fuel would clean any deposits. Maybe not as fast as a solvent. You are certainly not going to hurt anything by putting some of whatever you have on hand through it. My Troy Built / Honda is the type without a throttle...
