Wow, I have read many such stories about those engines. That is awful. Glad he has had a similar experience as I have with the r&p working. It is sad that hyundai has had such trouble with engines and oil burn, but really fortunate a readily available oil is helping.

Yea the 2018-2021 konas had a piston ring recall, but mine missed that by a month or 2, but still has the burning problem. Of all the name brand oils I have used this is the only one that helped.
I have a 2021 hyundai kona 2.0 awd.
It started burning oil in 2022.
It has a history of all top tier brand name synthetics with fram ultra filters, and recently fram ultra synthetic endurance filters, as well as top tier gasoline used almost always.
I had an OC with Valvoline 0w-20 R&P

The oracle smells good, easy to use, the spray is is like windex, which I do not prefer, i like the mist from tw personally.
