Was living in an apartment so was unable to change my own oil. Got my first oil change done at the dealership at 5,022 miles. Now living in...
Just purchased a few Hyundai OEM oil filters from RockAuto. The part number I ordered was the older 26300-35504 for $2.57 each. I knew they weren't the newer 05 version, but I didn't expect them to be 5+ years old! That is what the label is telling me, right?
I'm still going to use them. Just...

Oops, yep, forgot to mention the mileage. It has 157k on the odometer, but says EXEMPT on the title, so really don't know the true mileage.

I used a Motorcraft FL400S. Filter looked good to me.
I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Ranger with the 2.5L 4-banger. The previous owner apparently wasn't the best when it came to maintenance. The oil filter that was on it had a date written on it from two years ago. The oil was very dirty, but was less than half a quart low. I immediately changed...
Am I asking for trouble with 1250 more miles than the recommended OCI? I'm currently using PP 5w-30 with a Hyundai OEM oil filter.
I get on it every once in a while, but mostly I just do a mild 25 mile commute to work and back.
Is 0w40 safe for the Hyundai powertrain warranty? Since I'm changing my own oil I'm sure they'll want receipts to prove my oil changes if a warranty issue arises.
I recently purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T and am hoping to get some suggestions on a good NON-synthetic oil. This vehicle will see ~80% highway driving with approximately 30-50K miles a year.
The manual recommends SM or greater 5W-30 or 5W-40. 5W-40 is not plentiful here so I will...
I was shopping at a local thrift store today and came across these two vintage filters. I like the way the one filter was packaged in a plastic tube with a tight fitting lid. The newest vehicle listed on the back of the filter and box were 1984 on the Purolator and 1981 on the other. Just...
...on a vehicle that calls for 5W-30? Vehicle is a 2004 Hyundai Sonata 2.7L V6 with 147,000 miles. The car is using almost 2 quarts every 5k miles. I'm wondering if 10W-30 might cut down on consumption.
