I went back and looked at your reports again. Looks like you were having copper issues from the start unfortunately. Maybe something was bad from the start?
Reply. I was thinking that about the si. Wonder if I should send a base oil sample to get real numbers so I know the oil starting point. Let's see how far I can push it.
Here are two oil samples from my Forester. One with amsoil 0w-20 one with HPl. Same weather conditions. Amsoil had 6k. Hpl had 8k. I can't complain with either results. not a perfect comparison because one is 6k miles the other 8k but still interesting to me. Just figured I'd share it.
Updated oil reports. One with amsoil one with HPL. Still high iron at 22k miles on the engine. Debating about trying the hpl 5w30 but still not sure about it as cold temps running in NY and traveling and such. An 0w30 dexos D would be nice too if it was made.

That's great information. Ive been running amsoil 0w-20 since new and I do not burn oil. 62k on mine so far.
Have you used there CVT oil yet. Or there gear oil?

Thank you, you didn't have to. I don't want to be a bother if they are just insanely busy right now. Smaller companies sometimes it can work like that.
Good morning everyone. Long time lurker first time posting. Long time amsoil user, (father is a small dealer). But I have no problem switching to whatever oil responds best to my vehicles.
I am interested in some of the HPL products and I emailed HPL and haven't heard anything in over a...
