Toyota Tundra used- 2019 and 2024-- same dealer in Arizona- look at the price differential

Pre covid car market was still weird. When I was looking at Foresters, new, in 2017 I ended up buying one brand new because there were used ones with 50,000 miles on them sitting on the dealer's lot for the same price.

    Who is high mileage towing?

Oh, I do. One of the offroad parks we go to has a 14% grade hill to get to it. Towing my jeep on trailer, my truck with the 5.4 will do 26 MPH in 2nd gear against the rev limiter. Can't even think of 3rd. A F150 with the 5.0 will hit 58 (or faster, I had to slow down because I was about to run...

    Who is high mileage towing?

I can also maintain speed on the interstate with the rental trucks 🤣 The old 5.4 slows down as soon as it smells a hill within 50 miles. I'm getting passed by fully loaded 18 wheelers! Rental trucks have no problem running the speed rating of the tires all day. $600 2 or 3 times a year is...

    Who is high mileage towing?

My truck has 85k miles, but the engine has 260,000 (or around there) on it. Junkyard engine. I rent for longer trips. $600 for a 3 day weekend with unlimited mileage from Enterprise for a 3/4 ton truck is a lot cheaper than breaking down.

    2001 Grand Marquis Overheating

There is an air dam that's missing. I was thinking about that possibility as well, but that went missing last month and the car was having heating issues since this spring. I ran over a 18 wheeler tire this spring (couldn't avoid it) and deleted the air dam / valence that goes from the bumper...

Pleasant Tire Purchase Experience At WalMart

Factory was stick on weights, Walmart did clamp on weights on the inside, thankfully. Not worried about corrosion because we put a separate set of wheels on this car for the winter and it sits most of the winter anyway.

VW may axe Taos and Jetta under restructure

Murano is still sold? I can't remember the last time I have seen one on the road.

VW may axe Taos and Jetta under restructure

Nissan is cutting the wrong models. There really should be more Versas and Altimas selling. Especially with how the economy , gas prices are looking at the moment.

VW may axe Taos and Jetta under restructure

I was briefly looking at them for work / travel a few months ago. I joined a couple facebook groups to get an idea on them. It appears a lot of people have constant problems with the infotainment systems and a large number of the vehicles end up blowing the head gasket before 30,000 miles...

Pleasant Tire Purchase Experience At WalMart

Always heard good things about Douglas tires. Only bad experience I had with walmart tire center recently was they forgot to pull the old weights off the wheels for our Nissan. So it has 2 sets of weights.

    New USPS van

Our local post office has them. Myself and a few neighbors stopped getting mail for a month. Apparently the postal carrier was afraid to scrape a tree and just decided to stop delivering our mail. We had no indication that it was an issue until we called and complained. Yeahhh. That...

2027 Nissan Rogue driven by electric motors

I was looking at the Canyon/Colorado and Frontier. I do like a lot of things about both but the big thing is - I just can NOT trust that 8 speed transmission. It is rated to tow more than Frontier - which is useful for me as I'd be dragging a Jeep on a trailer around - but I do like the longer...

    2001 Grand Marquis Overheating

The pay cut is less than ideal, but I'm looking forward to having weekends back. just a Monday-Friday 8 to 5 type of deal. WAY below my skillset but new employer knows what I'm looking for and knows they're getting a hell of a deal with me. I worked 80+ days straight. That's no way to live...

    Ford Triton 6.8L V10, any UOA's?

We have some people in our club who use v10 motorhomes to pull their Jeeps around and 5MPG is about right. I'm still in awe that they can be dragging around a giant Class A , Jeep on a trailer and still manage to pull hills on the interstate at 65* *holding 5000 RPM the whole way.
