    Help Selecting Front Hub Bearings

SKF - GM wheel hubs from that era are known for prematurely wearing out, SKF redesigned it and that's what I put on. Made in Mexico.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

I didn't say that. I was referring to not being able to see the louvers/slits in the inner filter support until I looked closer.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

It came with the tractor and I've always used Wix. Have nothing against Fleetguard, other than the price on some of the filters.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

    No it's a 2006 Case IH tractor with a rebadged 6.7 Cummins.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

Yep it has them, I could barely see them with my own eyes but couldn't capture that detail in the photos I took, even with flash.

It is, says Mann-Hummel right on the side.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

I took the old filter off, which was a Fleetguard, made in France, whereas the Wix was made in Germany and it was exactly the same. Based on a pinned post in this section I think it's because it has microglass filter media which needs extra support.

Wix Filter with no visible filter media

I have a Wix 57488 that I purchased from RockAuto and went to change the oil on my tractor and to my surprise I don't see any filter media, just a metal interior sleeve. Has anyone seen this before? Couldn't get the greatest of photos with my phone.

    Concrete contractor pricing

But it does sound a little high from the responses and seems like I'm in the wrong profession if $5.33 per square foot in labor is the norm now, almost double the price of the concrete.

    Concrete contractor pricing

Thanks for the replies - I don't need to do it this winter, was hoping to get it done but for that kind of money I can wait till spring. It's an enclosed building and I'm only doing a portion of in concrete for an insulated workshop and needed the slab to work on the interior walls over the...

    Concrete contractor pricing

Has anyone poured a slab lately and wouldn't mind sharing costs? I'm trying to get a slab poured before winter (I'm in Michigan) and so far only one contractor has called me back with a quote of $8k for labor only of placement and finishing of a roughly 30x50' slab. I'm doing the foundation...

What type of oil is this?

You are correct, I should have said that the oil was causing the valves to stick that the solenoid is trying to open. Thank you for the information.

What type of oil is this?

Thanks for the replies - this equipment is in an enclosure and doesn't require a food grade lubricant since it can't come in contact with food.

What type of oil is this?

I work at a food manufacturing plant and we are having some problems with a mixer not raising and lowering the mixer bowl properly. It has a self contained hydraulic system that just uses a single hydraulic cylinder to raise and lower the bowl. I took an oil sample to see if it was oxidized or...
