Before spending Ravenol money, check out some of the UOAs here. I used DXG, and although those were tested by Blackstone, subsequent tests by actual labs that use GCMS showed my truck had less than 1% fuel after 14.4k on HPL, but when I used Ravenol it had sheared well out of grade in just 6k...

That’s a 2.0 right (EJ205)? Those and the EJ255/257s are both closed-deck designs AFAIK (@Trav?), and do not suffer anywhere near as badly as the EJ251/253s did. One has to wonder which engineer got fired for that design error, saving about $17 per car in aluminum for a 60% failure rate, and...

It’s only half of @Revving2Redline’s odo shot, but it is an 2007 Impreza with an EJ253 on the original factory head gaskets… at 200k officially!

Or, you could try HPL No VII PCMO 10w20 and skip the hi-mi and voodoo juice… On a serious note though, why would you think your 2018 needed that stuff? Just curious. 👍🏻

Do you have KRL results on both oils? Probably can’t say which one is more shear stable without that data, since every single engine will have slightly different fuel dilution, points that may cause VIIs to shear mechanically, etc. If you do have KRL results, that would be sweet to see! 👍🏻

SuperCar 0w30 would deal with it fine, and likely have somewhat lower temps too.

IF an EV makes financial sense for someone (I.e. living in major city and/or commutes <75 miles or so), the smallest, lightest EV makes the most sense and would be the most economical from operation, parking, and overall effectiveness. See Nissan Leaf, Model 3, etc. People that need a big SUV...

IMO with the low miles and HPL doing cleaning, if this app has the filter hanging dome end towards ground, this is where I’d personally look for a base-end bypass filter even if it may not filter quite as well as an OG XG. Plus, there’s a good chance those filters are less expensive as well...

Agree. But in the early 1990s before any of it was razed, the Governor had to deploy like 350 state troopers to Gary fulltime for awhile to get the murder rate under control. In a city of ~60,000. 😳

Gary, IN met its urban decline decades ago, with downtown abandoned and dangerous as well. Their solution: raze anything that had been vacant & in disrepair longer than X amount of time. Yes, it was a shame to lose some of those historic buildings, but nothing was going to change without drastic...

Technically, the Dart was available new from 2012 thru the end of 2016. That’s five whole years too. 🤣
