    Ford's 3.7 Ti-VTEC

Ford had previously offered the 3.5L version of this same engine, slightly less displacement, less horsepower. It would appear Ford got jealous of Chevy's Caprice 3.6L at 301 hp, and "had to" catch up with the Ford 3.7L's 305 hp. Horsepower wars in police fleets. Taxpayers lose. What they need...

^^^^^ lawman1909 meant to say "3.7L Vi-VCT v6", which stands for Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing. See this link for more info.

Oils using which anti-wear additives, Why so many?

By posting nothing with useful content, SteveSRT8 and dave1251 always fail, even though Steve claims they are the ones who "matter". Very funny.

dave1251, You have never posted anything of any value. The way these forums work, is you present some form of information. Are you 12 years old? If so, that would explain a lot.

Oils using which anti-wear additives, Why so many?

Maybe oils that use titanium, boron, moly, and zinc are working from an evolutionary formulation model. The chemists just keep tweaking the current formula by adding a little more moly this year, then next year the new spec comes out and they add some titanium to the formula, etc., until we end...

Should I give fram TG a try over FL820S ?

Fram ToughGuard and Fram Ultra's best attributes are: 1. Not make by Purolator like the Motorcraft is (tears). 2. Better filtering efficiency and dirty capacity before clogging. 3. I can't think of a third one.
