Well if you southern California guys are doing OK with GC, I'm sure it'll be just as good up here in the Bay. Hey Solo, I've been on M1 for the last 15k so I'll have to make sure to keep an eye out when I change out to GC in a month or so. Maybe I'll have the same results as you.

I think anything would work well enough for me...San Francisco Bay Area. Lowest temp last year was 41(f) and rarely breaks 100. So...I'll try GC my next oil change.

I currently do. While the rest of my "stash" is in the garage, I just HAD to open one up and check if it really did have a gummi-bearish smell. I couldn't wait the two months or so until I had to change my oil.

My girlfriend used to wonder why I would look at filters and read the back of the quarts of oil. So it didn't really surprise her when she saw a bunch of oil in my room or when I opened a quart of GC just to look/sniff it. I'm actually waiting to change my oil.

Thats odd. The four local Wal-Marts here (within 25 miles) have always had a decent supply of Chevron Supreme.

I do on all the cars that I change. Toughest is probably on my car (96' 3.8L Camaro). I usually get a nice little oil bath when I prefill too much. Oh well.

Silverstars IMO are overpriced and not worth the price for what they do. I saw little lighting difference, just a difference in the color of the light. Oddly though, in my GF's car, they did give off a little more light though her car has real housings while I have poor sealed beams (H4351)...

Anyone know where to get them? My dad needs new front struts...local shop in his area wants $500. This is for a 2000 Leganza. I've had a hard time finding struts/shocks for his car. I told him to get a Honda.

I have a '96 3.8L and did 5k on my last M1 change. I do similar miles as you do...25 each way, 90% highway. I may try the 7-8k then sample it before pushing it further. I think it should hold up...we should be OK.
