    M1 vs Kirkland!

Completely agree. But then I wouldn't be using any oil in turbo application at 10K change intervals. My point was really that it looks like Warren used the M1 oil as a recipe. Also it might seem that at intervals less than 10K, the kirkland would be quite satisfactory. Especially since...

    M1 vs Kirkland!

I agree that the primary role of a UOA is the health of the equipment. Having said that, since both oils are D1-G3 (now), and the add packs are virtually identical, whats left? Perhaps deposits/varnish which this won't tell. But after 10K,the residual oil properties may be slightly shaded to...

    M1 vs Kirkland!

Seems that way, after 10K intervals. The numbers were virtually identical.

    M1 vs Kirkland!

Someone created a youtube comparing M1 0W-20 AFE and Kirkland same weight. Used M1 for first 150,000 miles at 10K intervals in his Toyota, then decided to do some comparisons, sending samples in for analysis. While this is one car and one owners use, I find it illuminating.

    Rumors about NAR settlement

My wife and I have sold 3 dental practices over the years. For the first one we used a standard commercial realtor; learned from that to get a specialist realtor as the ramifications are many. But regarding the dual agency deal, once the buyer finds out that he will not have to pay the agent...

Service dept uses unapproved oil. Looking for advice (M-Benz GLC 300)

Typically the dipstick runs down to the front side of the pan. If you have the car up on jacks or have a typical inclined driveway such that the oil drains toward the rear of the pan, you may not get all the oil out. Thats one reason the oil drain is typically in the rear.

22mmX1.5 vs 3/4"X16 oil filter crossover

This what I'm talking about. Both of those MC filters have 22mX1.5 threads, but it depends on which source you're looking at as to which specs it shows.

The physics of a cylinder have radically different force results from an equal pressure on the inside vs squeezing ramdomly from the outside.

22mmX1.5 vs 3/4"X16 oil filter crossover

Trying to find a Luber-Finer filter for the Maverick. Three M/C filters that I would replace: Fl910S, FL820S, and FL400S. The Luber_Finer catalog shows a filter for each, but the FL910S cross, PH2835, indicates it has 3/4"X16 threads. Same as the cross for FL400S, L/F PH400. Also some Fram...

This is a travesty. He obviously has an agenda. Not necessarily defending Fram, but this is ridiculous.

    Running Injector Cleaner ever tank?

Wow! Friends have told me that a gal. of acetone in a tank (+/_ 10%) have talked about a meaningful decrease in 1/4 times. I was skeptical. No one mentioned the deterioration of the components in the fuel system, though. Maybe coming down the road.

Oil pan bolt threads are weak, going to install a Fumoto valve. How to make sure it stays?

I've used several of the Fumoto valves over the years. They come in various configurations, including straight where the angle is not an issue.
