2013 Cadillac XTS transfer case / diff fluid help

I'm not sure what type of rear diff this car has. It's the Premium trim with 3.6 L non-turbo V6. I think it is a Haldex system, but that's as much info as I've been able to gather. I can't find anywhere selling 88863449 rear diff fluid or even a reference to this part number.

2013 Cadillac XTS transfer case / diff fluid help

Is there any information on what fluids can be used in the AWD transfer case and rear differential? The manual specs ACDelco 19256084 for transfer case fluid, no spec on rear diff. I use Petro-Canada fluids for engine oil and transmission, and would like to stick with them for the transfer case...

Do you more Rock? Hip Hop? or Country?

Mostly alt-rock and country. No rap or hip-hop, and every time someone uses "Yeah" as filler for lyrics, they end up on my s***-list for a while.

    Please Buckle Up

Without seatbelts to slow you down (or, rather, decelerate you with the car), you would probably end up in a nice place for the explosion of an air bag to kill you.

I just assume everyone is coming on to me. That way no one person stands out and I don't get into trouble.

How often do you balance your wheels?

Has anyone here had experience with balancing solely using balancing compound? I have a manual tire changer at home, and with a box of compound I can eliminate all trips to the mechanic/lube shop other than for large 6-hour-plus repairs. They would also eliminate the need for rebalancing after...

why jams appear for no apparent reason

In Mississauga, some on-ramps to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) highway are metered with a traffic light. It probably helps traffic congestion, but jams from Toronto eventually make their way up.

It is like the system in our MDX, except we have "Full Auto" and "Auto" indicators. When you switch to Auto, the system also allows you to "tweak" the settings that you do not like about what the climate control computer chooses to do. For example, in "Full Auto" mode the computer seems to...

    Finally Flushed My Brakes

I hardly ever close the bleeder screws when I bleed the brakes. On all of our cars just repeatedly stepping on the pedal results in a net fluid output from the bleeders. Saves a lot of time in trying to co-ordinate with a helper. Sometimes I just do it all by myself using an inspection mirror...

Which version of Windows is it? For XP Pro you can go to the Run prompt (hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press R) and type in control userpasswords2. You will see a checkbox for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Uncheck that, click OK, and enter the...

    Flat tires and gravel roads?

I drive gravel roads extensively, and I have never gotten a flat. I also run A/T tires so that may explain it, but I see many rural residents with small cars like Echos which would not have heavy duty tires available.

    Star adjusting rear brakes.

But, in the Neon system, does the hydraulic system depend on the cable for some sort of adjustment? That is, if the cable snapped, would you still have hydraulic brakes? I am fairly sure that you would, as parking cables frequently snap in Canadian climate and this would make the Neon a...

    display screen not adjustable..

That first question was asking if you wanted to try an 800x600 resolution. You still need to install proper video card drivers.
