Best performing all weather tire for snow

I have about a years experience with some Goodyear Weatherready Tires with the 3MPSF. They've been great all throughout last winter. Handled some pretty bad Quebec storms, no issues. At 150$/tire for 235/65/17's, the price was fair too.

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ATF Question...

Thats a great tip about removing the atf cooler line! Filling up the transmission was the most annoying part of the entire job, messy and took forever. Do you know if the red painted line is a return line to the gearbox, or is it a sending line to the atf cooler? On my next change I plan on...

    Brake fluid change!??

Im pretty sure the turkey baster is just for taking the old fluid out of the reservoir, that way you don't have to waste time bleeding it out through the calipers. In the end you still replace a majority of the old fluid.

    02 Saab aero oil?

That's great to hear! 273k miles in crazy. I barely have half of that on my 9-5 beater. What's crazier is putting on 120k miles within the span of two years. I can't even fathom driving that much. I've also been doing 4.5k mile intervals on my 9-5, but exclusively with mobil 1 0w40. Not...

Assurance WeatherReady vs. Advantage T/A Sport LT

I've got a set of the Goodyear weatherreadys for my moms santa fe. I've got no complaints so far, but she's only only had them on for about a year. Feel good on the road, not loud, and great in the snow.

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ATF Question...

No problem, I used genuine Hyundai SP-4M, it supersedes the SP-IV mentioned in the manual. Its quite pricey at 20$ (Canadian) per liter. If you choose to go the OEM route i'd recommend calling up a few Kia dealers to ask for type 4M fluid. It's the same fluid, but some people on the forums...

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ATF Question...

My local Hyundai dealerships offers transmission flushes, so I reckon just pushing out the old fluid with an exchange should be fine. As for checking if the level is correct that seems simple enough. There is a procedure for it in the service manual I linked. 1. After your done with the...

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ATF Question...

For what it's worth, I changed out the fluid at 91k kilometers (56k miles) and it was dirty. I'd say the car fell under the sever usage category. Mostly short distance city driving, with a couple long distance road trips thrown in there, Here is what the fluid looks like AFTER the drain and fill:

2015 Hyundai Santa Fe ATF Question...

Just did an atf fluid drain and fill on a 2014 santa fe a few days ago. There are tons of videos online of people doing it, but I don't think they are doing it the way Hyundai intended it to be done: http://www.hsfmanual.com/fluid_repair_procedures-273.html The Kia sorento video posted here...

    Cheap beater tires

I suppose I could pick up the tires in the states, but driving there to pick em up would probably cancel out any potential cost savings in gas and lost time. Speed ratings don't really matter, most of the tires i see of this size are V rated up to 240km/h. Which is probably faster than the car...

    Cheap beater tires

The other two are in pretty good nick, id say at least 7/32nds. For the past two winters I've swapped out the same pair for snows. I reckon I can get at least another year or two out of them.
