    The drums not budging!!!!

I've had drums so rusted to the hub that I've damaged the drum badly beating it with a BFH, but rust here is extraordinarily bad. I have used a couple of tricks, either a really big wheel puller or a combination of my strut compressors, a sleeve from my hub tamer, and a 2x4. A little heat from a...

    relief...and guilt.

My wife has what they think is a lipoma on her back, going in for a biopsy on the 18th. No messin' around with lumps. CT was the right thing to do IMHO.

Do you use grease when replacing radiator hoses?

Like all hoses I just spit on them and wipe it around with my finger. Works great and it's free, haven't run out yet.

    Why so many Vista updates?

Simple answer, it's a beta, and all current users are beta testers. More of the same from Bill and friends.

Subies... thick or thin? (2007 Impreza 2.5i SE)

Our EJ25 is quieter and uses less oil if I use something relatively thick. I just put some fresh RTS in last night, I use GC in the winter. If it isn't using any oil and it hasn't started piston slapping yet I don't think that it matters much which of those you use.

    2003 Grand Cherokee 4.0 M1 10W-40 3762mil.

That's a nice report! Fe is high but I've quit caring on this engine, it's going to spit iron regardless of how nicely it's treated. The bearing wear is phenomenal. What air filter are you running? What coolant? Keep in mind that it doesn't take much coolant to make 50PPM of sodium in a UOA...

50' max and a "LOW SIGNAL" = wireless Belkin "G"

Try mounting your router up high on the wall in the room it's in, and try pointing the antenna in different directions. Using a d-link router I get GOOD or VERY GOOD in my garage and it's about 100' away, no fancy tricks. Mounting it high up on the wall made a huge difference. I also find that...

Jeep 4.0 pegging oil pressure gauge when cold

So I changed the filter and topped off, it still does it. The sender will be next, but I think it'll have to wait for a bit.

Motor sitting for eight years..dry start or not?

I like to prime the cylinders with a little 2-cycle gas to give it some UCL.

Jeep 4.0 pegging oil pressure gauge when cold

That's a good idea, and that would make quick work of diagnosing this problem. If I do buy one though I want a nice set that's made in the USA. I'll try the filter tomorrow night after work.

Jeep 4.0 pegging oil pressure gauge when cold

The cylinder head crack is still relatively small, here's my last UOA. http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB3&Number=805052 Terry detected the early signs of this crack over two years ago, and I've been keeping an eye on it until I thought that the time was right...
