i've had a leak from my tranny recently and i really dont want to drop it anytime soon. i've used auto rx but that didnt seem to help. as a matter of fact the leaking got worse after i switched to the synchromesh and treated it with a-rx.
so now i'm looking for a higher weight oil that may help...
its leaking from the rear seal
theres a lot of bimmer owners using mt90 to handle lightweight flywheel noises and its fine. companies reccomend it aswell.
i used mtl for about a year, it was great and leaked less, hence the mt90 i'm thinking right now
if theres a way to reseal without...
ok so what if the sticker was removed. can i still use the castrol guide? are those fluids compatible with each other or are they completely different and dangerous if used where they shouldnt
i didnt know whether to be happy that my engine is clean, or to be ****** that a-rx did nothing.
still dont know... car feels the same as before (nothing was wrong with it)
a part of me wished that the oil filter would be full of black crap... so that i end up with a better runnning engine.
this was going into the rinse phase, not after. and yes my oil (delo400) was black, and the filter was spotless. my oil has always been black after oil changes, be it synthetic or not. now why my filter was clean if my engine is "dirty" (black oil) is beyond me.
lets see how the rinse phase goes...
would you or BITOG like to pick up the bill for a $6.5k engine (+labor) ?
my car has a history of oil pump nut failures... i have to admit that its not THAT common, but it happens. a-rx or not, i'm shutting it down.
i guess i should have mentioned that earlier , but hey, at least now we both...
