Any recommendations on new "car buying" brokers?

Go and look at one of his live negotiation videos. Gives you an idea of what he does. He doesn't advertise as a money-saving service, but he works for deals. Interesting watch!

Any recommendations on new "car buying" brokers?

I've watched him since spring 2025. Bought a lot of new vehicles myself, but have learned quite a bit from his info that I used recently. One thing I like about him is that he is upfront and says you can do what he does (and you can) but you pay him to avoid the stress. Also he uses the...

Which top tier gas for older cars?

Actually BP and Amoco are both now Top Tier + certified, so this is a good choice as well. https://www.toptiergas.com/2026/05/26/top-tier-announces-new-top-tier-standard/

    New Washing Machine Recommendations

I hope I don't have to shop for a washer anytime soon. Our current is a 2016 Speed Queen top loader. It has been rock solid for a decade. (Don't want to jinx myself) Whenever it does present a problem, my plan is to repair it as long as possible. They are expensive, and probably aren't the...

Have you ever had a fuel issue from a gas station?

Just saw this from earlier in the week. Seems to happen too often... https://www.wral.com/consumer/5onyourside/speedway-gas-mix-up-wake-forest-june-2026/

Since Hyundai has gone to port & direct injection their engines should run cleaner. Plus with 4K oci I think he'll be okay.

Do people park backwards in parking spaces where you live?

Sounds like backing in is leading pulling in during this unscientific poll....mark another vote for backing in. Safer and allows for larger vehicles to take up less space when parking in spaces on the edge of parking lots.

Mavis Tire "Free" Tire Rotation Experience: Caveat Emptor

I wish I could have a positive experience everyone seems to attribute to Discount Tire. I've had four lugs cross-threaded on one wheel during a rotation. I've had a tire with a screw in it miraculously have another hole appear during the repair 1/4 inch from where the original screw was at...

    Not seeing E15.......Yet

I've been running the Sheets Unleaded 88 (E15) in our Subaru vehicles for some time, especially since the spike in fuel prices. It is typically 50 cents a gallon less than 87 and in the Subies I see less than 1 mpg difference. My son ran it exclusively in his 21 Crosstrek until he traded it...

switch from Apple ecosystem to Android?

I did just the opposite. I was into the Android system for years. 1 1/2 years ago I went with an Iphone 16. It truly was the longest and most miserable technology aggrevation I ever experienced. Honestly, most of it was just dealing with the Apple differences in how things work. Long story...
