    PF63 in two sizes?

I've owned multiple GM 5.3 engines that require the PF63. What you have in your hand, in my opinion, is not a legitimate pf63, unless GM has recently changed the filter. I have a 23 Silverado and the PF63 I installed on the first oil change was virtually identical to the factory filter in...

    New Silverado Acquisition

So far I really like my GM 10-speed. It is smooth and the 5.3 is really good on fuel, as long as you drive with a little common sense. Every manufacturer has its gremlins; here's hoping the DFM lifter issues stay far way from both our trucks. Very nice looking Chevy!

It is my commuter car and does a 85 mile round trip commute 5 days a week all rural highway with no more than 1-2 stop lights and one stop sign. Almost no short trips at all. It is the Nu engine with MPI, so no direct injection. What do you think? 4K? or 5k?

No, we have three Subaru vehicles in our household. Two 2.0 NA and one 2.5 NA. None of them seem to use any oil during a 5K oci.

had to put my dog down this morning.

Just lost our lab of 12 years a couple of weeks back. You don't realize how much they are a part of until they are no longer there.

They actually are the same color Magnitite Gray Metallic. The Legacy is my wife's and the Crosstrek is my son's. Both were ready the same time, so while I had the dirty clothes on....well you know.

IF you were to buy a 3/4 ton truck........

Money wise I rather suspect the Ram is going to be the least expensive option. I saw a video this weekend from caredge showing that the Ram 2500 has a 318 day supply in the US market. It would seem that Ram will need to put quite a bit of money on the hood to sell off this inventory Also...

Subaru Motor: Dipstick Reading Inconsistent Oil Levels

Driven Subie's for years, and this has happened to me before as well. Not really sure why. I've just learned that if I get a low reading unexpectedly, to wait until another drive cycle is complete (as long as the level is safe) and check again after shutdown/draindown on a cold engine. 99% of...

Medicare with Medigap or Medicare Advantage?

Both of my parents had Medicare with Medigap Plan F (this is no longer offered) Plan G is the closest thing that is available now. My dad opted not to sign up for a Medigap plan nearing his initial sign up period; however, he was looking at prospective cataract surgery and decided to purchase...

Cut open SuperTech, ACDelco, Wix and Purolator for GM 5.3

I can't tell you for sure about the filters in the picture, but since I drive a 23 Silverado that uses the AC Delco PF63, I can tell you that all of these filters I've had my hands on over the last 4-5 years have had the ecore cage. I was leary of them at first, but I can see a good argument for...
