    Synthetic oils and leaded gasoline.

My local (grass landing strips, no tower) 'regional'---i may have used the wrong terminology...is roughly 13 miles from my house. The closest store that sells 'race gas' (a Sunoco) is probably 50 miles, so we're seemingly in opposite situations, mileage wise! The Sunoco is on I-65, between...

Odd ( to me ) battery cables and connecting maintainer ring terminal’s

I've used dykes to cut a ring terminal so it could be spread, placed around the stud (under the captured nut) and squeezed terminal back shut-ish with needle nosed pliers, tighten nut...done. Lasted for years, 0 issues. Just another option.

    Lawn Mower Air Filter Question

If you do choose to oil the foam prefilter, use a throw-away old towel, blue shop towels/paper towels, or some other such sacrificial absorbent material; encase the oiled filter in sac abs material, and wring/press the excess oil out. You might investigate a spray oil, like K&N. Something...

    Synthetic oils and leaded gasoline.

Can an average citizen go to a smaller regional airport and purchase these fuels? I know at the large int'l airports you have to have security clearance and stuff. Thanks for raising this topic! Very interesting reading material.

Riding mower cranks but won't start

Takes a rodent about 3 minutes to absolutely wreck the wiring in a machine, especially if stored outside in a shed (vs attached garage). Had some type of jerks do just that to an old 87 Dakota we had for trash/brush duty. Used it to haul off some junk and parked it, went to use it again 2...

HIPA tune-up kit for Honda GCV160

Just adding that for those looking for NGK plugs for their OPE, **do not buy them off of Amazon**. Apparently counterfeiting spark plugs is a lucrative business, and there's no guarantee what you'll get via Amazon. Rock Auto is pretty safe, all the NGKs I've bought from them in the past decade...

StarTron Solved My Weed Trimmer Carburetor Problems

87 octane E0 is what is available to me (conveniently walking distance from my house), and that's all I'll run in our mower (weedeater and blower are 40v Ryobi). Buy it a gallon at a time bc our yard is tiny, 1 gal will last us most of the summer. I would run it in our cars, too, but it's about...

Manufactures Response to States Gasoline Power Equipment Bans

Are y'all joking? All of my extended family is up north (most in IL, a few in NJ and MD), and particularly the people in the area where most of them lived in IL, the folks up there were the absolute most run-tell-that people I've ever met, and I've been walking this earth for 45+years at this...

OEM NGK Iridium Spark Plugs replaced @ 54,000 miles on '16 KIA Forte - How do they look?

Alrighty, then. Would you prefer "I change my plugs, air filter, wiper blades, and oil/filter (running Royal Purple only) every other week with less than 500 miles on them, because YOLO!!!" instead? Lol

Tire pressure gauges- don't let the package provide confidence in the measurements

Sweet. That's exactly the gauge I bought and keep in the car. Felt weird spending that much on a tire gauge after buying so many of the cheap parts store gauges over the years. Haha

Strange misfire (P0302) on my new Scion

Agree with this. You should be able to locate the values and test procedures via Google fairly easily.

Tire pressure gauges- don't let the package provide confidence in the measurements

Do you recall what brand of gauge won? Just curious. I don't really care for watching influencer/creator YouTube vids, else is looking it up and watch it myself. Lol. Thanks!

    Red Line products out-of-stock?

What's your current price for regular? Do you carry race gas? Lol

Gas leak only after fill up - bad gas cap?

Thanks, I'd never even thought to look if something actually existed for the purpose. Haha. Cheap enough it might be worth acquiring as needed...

Factory fill washer fluids smell so good

I use this as well. They also sell it by the quart, which is a little cheaper but requires you to do math (the qt is to dump in a 55 gal drum). For winter use, I just add 1.5qt of 91% isopropyl alcohol per gallon, which takes the freeze point below what we usually see here in Middle Tennessee...
