Many new vehicles use synthetic for a factory fill and they break in just fine! What does that tell you!

That's not using oil!

If you KNOW the drain back holes are plugged I would try to open them up with a probe, air pressure or solvent and see what the results are. You may be sucking oil through the seals and valve guides and burning it.

DEXRON VI is the latest fluid spec from GM, that is what I would run. It is far superior to DEXRON III.

I don't believe his Owners Manual specifies flushing the system, although I think it is a good idea to do it every 2-3 years.
