8 months on the oil, basically all city driving, Jeep doesnt get a lot of highway in the summer. I expected a bit of fuel in the oil. I also found a couple clamps on the air intake that were loose, cant believe I didnt tighten them...heh Most likely gonna dump it in 500 miles, might do that...

It took me 3 years to find a super clean WJ, every one I found was a rust bucket and they wanted way to much money. I also have a 99 with the 4.0l with 247k on the clock I had to replace the pistons last summer, cracked skirt, picked it up in the fall of '18 for 500 clams..

Heres what the filter picked up: Is this a manufacture date on the filter? If it's only 3 years old that seems like a bad sign..:

I figured on dumping it again in a week.or so, it took 6 quarts, thats half the total fill...

I also forgot to mention the magnet wasn't very "hairy" at all....

Im thinking this fluid was in there for the 140k miles. 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0l 42RE trans, purchased by me in March of this year, had to add some juice and put in a bit much. Pulled some out and holy crap was it dark, so I dropped the pan and installed a new Dorman pan with a drain plug...

I've never sold a car, I always run them till they cant go no more, then get sad when they get scrapped... The only car I wasnt sad about was a '95 I think Lincoln, got it for my son to use while he engine swapped his Jeep, such a pile that car was, I asked if I could watch it get crushed..heh

Thanks for the replies guys, I just went and compared the bottles for levels against 2 full +4's and I could barely tell the difference, so it's prolly even less then half a cup. I panicked so hard when I seen the clear fluid.... Dropping the pan Saturday, the paranoia is killing me.... Gonna...
