yeah I think I'm going to have to go back to buying 5 gallon jugs from Walmart and buying filters off rockauto.
I've been using mobil super 5000 in the van and recently switched (at least on my car) to nextgen when they had the rebates.
thanks for input guys
the car calls for 10w30 AFAIK
I used to get oil SUPER cheap at Murray's but they're all o'reilly's now.
all the adds I see now are like $22 and up for oil & filter. I'm beginning to think it might be worth going back to paying someone to change the oil as I believe it's the same price !!!
I saw a gallon jug of this for $13 in 10W30. this would be a great savings if I could use it in my 2000 Ford Taurus.
is there any reason for not using this in my car? I've searched on this site as well as yahoo but couldn't find any info that sates I can or can't. it appears to be made for...
FYI
my 2000 Merc Sable (Taurus) got 22.5 as the lowest here in Mich last winter. I've seen roda trips get 29.9 doing 68 MPH w2ith windows rolled up in late summer/ early fall. my last check was 26 MPG 60-70% highway miles. 102K miles on engine
