Well after a week, the above post got to me...BTW, I never said I add polish over wax. But thats not what got me...I kept thinking "what if this "pro" knows something I dont?"..."maybe hes right?"..."maybe layers dont work?"..."maybe I should just use anything, call it "wax" and only apply...

You have to bake them slowly in your oven, there are dozens of forums/sites that show how tos...do a google search for "baked headlights" maybe add your cars model in that search for specific results.

Thank you! But I think the biggest stretch is polish and paint cleaner being the "same". And even if all of these products were the "same"...they all have different appearnces.(period)

Im not making assumptions nor would I EVER apply a polish over a wax...I know the proper steps...its kinda pointless/hopeless to continue with this, especially if nobody has the guts to support either of the 2 of us on this or any point...you just continue to believe sealant and wax are the same...

Its not so much an arguement, I mean if I was wrong I was bound to learn something...who knows, maybe he did instead. *shrug*

Ive got an Ebay catch can, it worked "OK" for the first 2 OCI...then I figured Id collect more if it was baffled, Ive heard others suggest adding steel wool to the can, but I figured I didnt want the bits of steel wool detaching and getting ingested into the intake...that wouldnt be benificial...

Any examples of this alkaline cleaner?

Ive used Mr Clean M.E. in my engine bay, works great at cleaning the metal surfaces, but it does remove paint marks on bare metal, like timing marks and marks on bolt heads...so I can see how this could be detrimental to painted finishes...kinda like wet sanding/polishing.

And you know, thats exactly what Ive done and continue to do, its really not that difficult if you are hands on. But what I dont get or understand is where the debate is with this guy, RinconVTR...fact is every one of your links support what Ive been saying all along, and that is paint cleaner...

You know, Im not gonna try and compair whos Schwartz is bigger...Ive done my research, I know the product I use(all Meguiars) and I too have done detailing for over a decade. You said "prove waxes or sealents "cure""...and Ive done that. I appreciate that you gave me credit on the "Glaze"...but...

You just keep on believin all that then. Besides that, your #1 #2 and #3 kinda contradict the rest of your statement. Pre cleaner isnt the same as polish, but I recon you could use a polish as a not so effective "cleaner"...polish adds fats to the paint. "WAX and SEALANT and GLAZE are one and...
