    OCI in the "new normal"

As long as you occasionally get oil nice a hot like hr drive or more to keep it free from water condensation specially during the winter months i would say your throwing money out of window changing it by Time in the vehicle its not needed. When you get little twitchy about how long its been in...

    Boxed Motor Oil WARNING

I bought Supertech in 12qt boxes...no issues personally. I do have to say its little pain in butt to have to fill a jug and keep it clean etc then dump it. Its alot of BS for little cost savings...Not to mention the possibility for dirt contamination during the fill.

Thats interesting I looked all over online and actually cant find a SP certified oil besides Ford Motorcraft oil. I happened to buy a case from rockauto otherday, they carry the new SP part number oil. Up to this point I been running Supertech Syn.

    Changing oil prematurely today

Sounds to me from reading all your comments OP that you need to change oil more if that screen is getting clogged. I would...(do at your own risk) when this oil gets maybe 3k miles on it add 1/2 can to 1/3 of can of seafoam in oil and let it idle 20min. Then drain change oil and put good filter...

    Engine oil flush recommendation.

U dont need a flush, Just change oil on severe schedule. I would stick to 5-6k no matter what manufacture says. Use quality filter thats metal backed media like Wix XP or Fram ultra and send it. Quality Full syn like Mobile 1, Pens plat ultra or even Supertech Full syn.

    Post your latest oil change

Truck 25k miles, 6k on oil Out: Rotella T4 / fram ultra / K&N air filter In: Supertech 15w-40 / fram ultra / Fram paper air filter Just throwing it out there the new ck-4 formulation of supertech is excellent no dmax tick like t4. Note...T6 has no dmax tick but its also very expensive.

    2018 Chevy Duramax L5P - 5,500 miles

I have yet to do UOA on my engine, I just learned from last two new engines that story never changes in early engine life. Levels are high... and they trend down. By High i mean like 40s 50s not 350 like you have. I may send in sample on this next one just to see if numbers are around universal...

    2018 Chevy Duramax L5P - 5,500 miles

I dont know man, I changed oil on my lml at 2500 miles first time. It was shimmery like any new engine is but filter cut and oil change around 16k didnt have any metal flakes or anything... that was with fram ultra. Id definitely monitor that situation. It shouldnt be throwing flakes any more or...

Filter has was installed from about 12k to 25k. Pretty decent amount of debris I was surprised. Little small metal on magnets nothing serious. Black stuff is like paper or rubber debris or something of sort.
