I put only one coat of 476 and didnt get a chance to do another coat over it. I am interested to see how long it will hold up. According to a test , it did not last as long as it was expected

Just run two UOAs with thinner and thicker oils on same vehicle and compare the results. Should be easy to see which one did better.. Oh and it has to be in the same season (winter over winter or summer over summer) and the car should not be new vehicle to keep the comparo more accurate.

Can you apply 476 paste wax using PC 7424 with a black pad? How easy or tough it is and what to watch for? Also, anyone use IsoPropanal wipe down prior to this (after polishing)? any tips for that?

Here was my ASM a while ago for 7500 miles. TBN was 3.1 and wear is nearly the same as above.. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubb...&gonew=1#UNREAD Must be the long drives which is burning the fuel off. However interesting that the vehicle did not use any oil at all... no bypass filter...

I use jack stands (jack is just a way to raise the vehicle) and they are better solution than ramps. Reason being that my drive way is inclined and I cannot use ramps on the road (which btw is inclined as well) inside our townhouse complex. Also, one cannot always use public space for oil...

perhaps an interesting question would be if it is lower than a 5w40.. gc is near 40wt.

Well someone ought to tell VW this. They keep recommending 40wt oils in their gas engines. I dont know why their 2.5 gas engine requires 5w40 when my japanese 3.0 comes with 5w20 recommendation.

There are plenty of Rotella T SB 0w40 (full synthetic) available around here...

I use synthetic only because I am a DIY type. I hate to take any more pain than I have to. Frequent oil changes are fine as long as someone else is doing them for you in which case, dino would be just fine.
