No mountains in Minnesota, but towing a 9,000 lb travel trailer all over the US, (42 states). Plus a 2 spot car trailer loaded close to 11,000 lbs couple times a month. Dont care what the manual states... It seems like a bunch of planet huggers write it. Oh and yes of course I know more than the...

SnowBlower, to break in with Conventinal or go Synthetic after original fill??

If your snow falls are not huge and driveway not big I would keep the lawn boy. But if you spend an hour blowing after every storm, then for sure upgrade. 824 QXE is the sweet middle. Love it.

SnowBlower, to break in with Conventinal or go Synthetic after original fill??

I got the SnowMaster 824 QXE. Since i work for Toro and we can get them for a nice price, I have had most of our models over the years. The SnowMaster has the throwing power of a 2 stage and a nimbleness of a single stage. Very easy to handle. Powered wheels with Toros personal pace, easy to use...

SnowBlower, to break in with Conventinal or go Synthetic after original fill??

Well, in a week it snowed 2 times here, around 10 inches. Takes 1.5 hours just to do my property plus I have couple other driveways I do. So hours rack up fast.

SnowBlower, to break in with Conventinal or go Synthetic after original fill??

The question of the day. Bought a new Toro SnowMaster snow blower, after original fill and ~5 hour run do I go Conventional 5w30 or Synthetic 5w30 and another ~10 hour run for 2nd fill? Then obviously to 5w30 Synthetic for 3rd fill. Im sure it doesnt matter but it bothers me. Lol.

Who runs Rotella T6 5w40 in their Turbo Gasser?

So should I go with this same oil for summer also? I see 215F oil temp in winter but summer 250F. Can I just go to a 50wt for summer? Just a FYI no cat in the n20 so not worried about high zinc/phos levels.

Edyvw, so I changed the oil on the X3 today, put in the Motul X-Cess 5w40 Gen2. What a difference!!! Noticeably quieter idle. I'd say 90% of the clatter noise the n20 made is gone now. This is coming from famous Castrol 0w40. I am impressed with Motul. What makes it so special?

Got it, no I backed the tune down to maybe 320hp now. Would be nice to pick oil up locally and not deal with shipping. I have noticed Castrol 5w40 now has LL01 approval. But yeah I might just stick with Motul.
